Two Emirati sisters, aged two and four years, died of suffocation after they spent two hours in their father's car parked in the courtyard of a house in Ajman.
After the family members realised that the girls named Hessah and Moza were missing, a brother approached the car and found out that his sisters were not breathing. The brother called the father who rushed from the mosque and tried to perform CPR to save them but in vain.
They were immediately rushed to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The hospital authorities informed the police about the case. The forensic experts and CID officers rushed to the hospital. They found out that the girls had died due to the lack of oxygen in the locked car amid the hot temperatures.
Al Shamsi urged the public to be cautious and not to leave children unsupervised for long time in the car, particularly during the hot weather conditions
