Minister thanks President on social aid increment
DUBAI — Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs has welcomed the decree issued by the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to hike the social aid of some cases, who receive the financial aid from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
She added that thousands of the beneficiaries of social security law appreciated the gesture of Shaikh Khalifa.
Al Roumi reiterated that the Presidential decrees aim at achieving aspirations of the citizens under the Union, citing the UAE President’s resolution to treat the children of Emirati women married to the foreigners as UAE citizens. She indicated that the resolution allows children from Emirati mothers to apply for UAE citizens when they turn 18, adding that the move has given hope to this category.
The UAE minister noted that the resolutions were not new to the UAE President, who has pledged to serve the citizens, adding that Shaikh Khalifa has issued tens of the decrees and laws that provided the security and welfare to the citizens.
She emphasised that the resolutions covered all the sectors of community, including the federal employees, beneficiaries of social security, children of Emirati women married to the foreigners, adding that the decisions have also given glimpse of hope to the citizens who cannot redeem their debts.
