Medical tests for food handlers begin in Ajman

AJMAN — The public health clinic's medical facility of Ajman Municipality began conducting medical tests for food handlers from January 1.

The clinic received a large number of applications for medical fitness certificates from food handlers and issued them the certificates on the same day.

An official from Ajman Municipality said that the public health clinic received good response from the local public due to fast and convenient services provided by the clinic.

He added that the clinic also provides special VIP services as well as high quality medical facilities to the public from 8.30am to 1pm and 4.30pm to 8.30pm daily except on Fridays.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Hamad Al Sanad, Deputy Director of Administration and Financial Affairs at the municipality, said the new clinic was opened by the municipality for issuing medical fitness certificates to the expatriates in the emirate. He pointed out that more than 14 employess in different medical fields were hired by the clinics to provide various medical services.
