Trivandrum: Three more persons, including the main agent, involved in the online sex racket case busted by the Kerala police last week have landed in police net even as a court remanded 12 others who were arrested in connection with the case to police custody on Monday.
While Joshi Joseph, who is suspected to be the key supplier of minor girls for flesh trade, surrendered before the investigating officer, his son Joyce and his aide were arrested by the police. With this the total arrests in the case have gone up to 15.
Joshi, who is known as Achayan, is said to be involved in more than a ten sexual abuse cases in the state. Chargesheet was filed against him in the Paravovor and Varappuzha cases, in which two minor girls were traded.
Police investigation in the present case revealed that Joshi had trafficked young girls for the online racket run by 'Kiss of Love' organizer Rahul Pashupalan and his wife and model Reshmi R. Nair. He surrendered after the police made an extensive search for him in the state and outside.
The police have launched a hunt for Linto, who allegedly rammed his car into the police officials and escaped while they were arresting Rahul and his wife at a posh hotel near Nedumbaserry airport on Tuesday. Crime Branch sub-inspector K J Chacko was injured in the attack. Police have registered a murder attempt case against him.
Meanwhile, the Trivandrum Principal Sessions Court have remanded Rahul and five others involved in the online sex racket case to seven days police custody and another six people behind the Facebook page 'Kochu Sundarikal' which was used to lure girls into four days custody.
Talking to reporters at the court Rahul and his wife said they were trapped by the Kerala police. They said they will reveal the facts in the case after they come out on bail. Rahul and Reshmi had shot into fame by organising the kiss of love protest against moral policing in the state.
