Khalifa off to Riyadh today

ABU DHABI — The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will leave today for Riyadh to attend the consultation summit of leaders of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The GCC leaders will discuss during their 7th consultation meeting the situation in the region and developments on the regional and international scenes, in addition to following up the implementation of resolutions issued during the 25th GCC Summit — the Zayed Summit — which was held in Manama, Bahrain, last December. They will also discuss how best to boost the GCC march in various areas.

Shaikh Khalifa is being accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Information and Culture; Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Protocol and Guest House; Shaikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Minister of Supreme Council and GCC Affairs; Rashid Abdullah, Foreign Minister; Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs; and Saeed Hamdan Al Naqabi, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
