The Bahrain carrier said the Ramadan fare promotion allowed travellers to fly for as little as Dh200 between Bahrain and Dubai, Kuwait and Doha.

“There was a 46 per cent increase in call volume to the Gulf Air Global Call Centre over the weekend, since we launched the local ad campaign last Thursday," a Gulf Air spokesperson said.

"The call centre is in house so we are able to anticipate and plan for increases in call volume."

A return ticket to Mumbai costs Dh779 while a trip to Beirut is priced at Dh974.

For Dh1,169 passengers can fly to Cairo and for Dh1,266 people can buy a trip to London.

The ticket sale has begun and will be open until September 11. The travel must take place between August 24 and November 30. Prices are for economy class and do not include taxes.
