Fujairah turns a hot spot for holidaymakers

FUJAIRAH — Beaches and parks in the city and the eastern coast were filled with holidaymakers during the Eid Al Adha days. Beaches including Al Aqa, Al Faqait, Kalba Corniche and Khorfakkan were swarmed with visitors from the UAE and neighbouring countries.

Occupancy rate in hotels and hotel apartments of the emirate was at all time high and many people camped along the beach of Khorfakkan.

Ahmed al Shamsi, Chairman of Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities authority, said that more than 60,000 visitors chose Fujairah as their holiday destination. “The Authority had opened the tourism landmarks and provided guides for the visitors,” he said.
