The four men had been charged with stealing goods worth more than Dh121,000 from a company warehouse in Muraqqabat area on May 25 this year. As per court records, they had broken open the warehouse and took away electronic items, including TV sets, video cameras, DVDs, computers, as well as other items.
When the police reached the scene, the warehouse guard informed them about the missing items, a police officer testified.
The police managed to locate some of the suspects who were wanted in other theft cases as well.
Two of the suspects were arrested from Naif area on June 2. During their interrogation, they admitted to breaking open the warehouse and stealing the electronic items. While one of them stood guard, the other cut open the locks of the store. While, the third accomplice was waiting in a van, the fourth drove the van as they sped away with the stolen items.
Two of the suspects were nabbed in Muttaina and Baraha areas.
