A woman was held by airport authorities after she reportedly made a bomb joke earlier this week.
According to the Filipino Times, a flight bound for Manila from Davao was delayed after the 28-year-old woman cracked a bomb joke at Davao International Airport. The joke was not well received by authorities who conducted an immediate inspection of the area. Aviation police also held the woman identified as Bianca Pulvera.
She was later released when the carrier denied to press charges against her.
Travellers who make bomb jokes may end up facing up to five years in jail or a fine of up to P40,000 in Philippines. (approx. Dh3,500)
