Ramadan time is shopping season in Dubai with exclusive collections that are launched and worn during the various Iftar functions in the city. Beenas is well known in the GCC region for its wide range of exquisite jalabiyas and the brand is all set to launch its summer collection.
The choice of colours and patterns give more casualness to the new trends. "This time, since Ramadan and Eid are in summer, we've created two sets of designs," says Beena Soni, designer of the brand.
"The two creations that we are launching are inspired by nature, the sea and flowers," she reveals.
Explaining the motive behind the concept, she says, "This is based on creating the print fabric that is inspired by sea waves. There are abstract prints for which I've used pure crepe and fabric."
The other collection is inspired by flowers and then given the finishing touches on the machine. "We've embellished with multi-coloured threadwork all done by hand. These are exquisite designs and involve loads of hard work," she exclaims.
