ABU DHABI — The Rent Disputes Settlement Committee has turned down the petition of the owner of a multi-storeyed building in Abu Dhabi, which has been converted into a hotel apartments unit, seeking the eviction of a tenant from one of the apartments in the building leased to him.
The committee said designating the building as hotel apartments, where rent is charged on a daily basis, does not justify the eviction of a tenant, who had been staying in the building before it was changed to hotel apartments.
