In a lecture delivered at the Centre of Information Affairs in Abu Dhabi, Soler praised the distinctive rise of the Emirati cinema in the past few years, a statement said on Saturday. He said that Abu Dhabi is an ideal place for promotion of socially conscious cinema because of its achievements in building a multicultural society, where tolerance and peaceful co-existence are prominent.

Soler highlighted the importance of investing resources in UAE's young generation, with a view to providing them with the opportunity to express their local and Arabic cultures, through the medium of the camera, by using international experiences and techniques.
