DSF Promotions to Kick Off Eid Al Adha Festivities

DUBAI - The ‘Eid in Dubai’ promotion during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) will kick off the Eid Al Adha celebrations in the country in style. The celebrations will feature events for children and families with international cartoon stage shows and cultural events in select locations in Dubai.

While the Airport Expo Dubai will host cartoon theatre shows, the Dubai Festival City will host the Eid District. Dubai Mall and the Global Village are also playing host to Eid activities. Ibrahim Saleh, coordinator-general of DSF office said: “After the huge success at the inaugural session of ‘Eid in Dubai’ during the Eid Al Fitr festivities, the DSF is eager to present the Eid Al Adha edition that will feature quality events and traditional customs such as the Eidiyah and Fuwalla.

Yousif Mubarak, chief operating officer of DSF, said: “The celebrations have been expanded to include two new venues — Dubai Mall, the world’s largest mall, and Global Village, the region’s prominent entertainment venue.” ‘Eid in Dubai’ attractions during Eid Al Adha include Noddy and the Treasure Map, at the Airport Expo Dubai in two shows each day during the four days of Eid Al Adha. Tickets will be available at Virgin Megastore, Dubai, and at Airport Expo Dubai prior to the show.

The Heritage Zone at Dubai Festival City will be the focus of traditional activities and shows during Eid Al Adha.

Apart from an Emarati handicrafts display, the zone will host music shows to reflect the festive spirit. Following the traditional way of welcoming visitors during Eid, the popular ‘Fuwalla’ will feature prominently in the Dubai International Airport.
