Ajman — The Office of Student Life at the Deanship of Student Services, Ajman University (AU), has run a series of remote activities as part of the Orientation Week for new students for the Fall Semester 2020-2021.
All the anti-Covid-19 precautionary measures have been strictly observed during the diverse and thrilling activities which saw fruitful meetings with Karim Seghir, Ph.D., AU chancellor, Prof. Khaled Assaleh, vice-chancellor for academic affairs, Dr. Nahla Al Qasimi, Dean, deanship of student services.
The participating students had a precious chance to raise their queries regarding their university life and got informative answers to them all during these virtual meetings which also saw the presence of reps of all AU offices.
Al Qasimi urged the new students to work hard and get themselves involved in the diverse cocurricular activities to develop their personality and talents.
The Orientation Week saw the participation of some AU student clubs, including the Emirati Club, the Music Club, and the Scout Club, along with the Unit of Athletics, and the Fine Arts Centre.
The Office of Student Life has also organised a virtual tour to the Shindagha Museum where the new students enjoyed the rare antiques therein and learn more about local industries, like perfume making.
