The company has showcased its latest technology — the world’s slimmest LCD, and launched Healsio ovens for healthy cooking at a large media gathering in Dubai recently.
According to Nobuyuki Sugano, corporate executive director in charge of Sharp International Business, who recently visited Dubai to announce the company’s global strategy, Sharp renamed its white goods division into the green goods division. He said, “ Sharp has earned a good and successful name in this region due to the help given to us by Dubai. We will thank you by providing the best technologies and energy saving products to ensure a greener environment not just in Dubai, but in the region as a whole.”
Tomio Isogai, Managing Director of Sharp ME, who announced the company’s strategy, said: “Dubai has been our gateway to the Middle East and the continuous support is shown through the demand of our products. We are now moving towards a ‘Greener Dubai’ by providing the latest technologies and energy saving products.”
