Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Khadem Suroor, Director of Naif Police Station, said that the police campaign aimed at confiscating the bicycles tied to the posts in traffic intersection areas and those fitted with electric motor, called “Um Shoraa”, driven on main streets and markets in the Naif area.

He said that the Naif police will intensify presence in all areas under its jurisdiction and will issue fines on those who violate traffic laws. He said that a plan has been put to intensify the presence of traffic patrol on a permanent basis to confiscate bikes violating the rules. The Naif Police Station had held several coordination meetings with the Ministry of Labour and Economic Department, which resulted in the arrest of 78 porters. The police found that seven of them were absconding from the sponsors.

Suroor revealed that the Naif Police Station would initiate a campaign against illegal vendors and beggars in the coming days.
