The Dubai Seismic Network, DSN, on Tuesday recorded a minor earthquake, measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale, that hit the Sea of Oman off the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah at 10:58 a.m. local time, which was felt by some local residents.
An official from DSN said that the area is prone to small tremors from time to time, but with no dangerous effect on residents.
