In a tragic turn of events, two Sandalwood actors lost their lives while on set for upcoming film Maasti Gudi.
According to a Times of India report, Uday of Jayammana Maga fame and 8-pack villain Anil, who has Hebbuli and Bharjari to his name both lost their lives during a helicopter stunt which required them to jump from the aircraft to the waters in the Thippagondanahalli Reservoir. The report mentions that they had no safety gear which raised questions about the safety practices during filming.
A report from the Deccan Chronicle added that the two actors didn't have any basic knowledge of swimming and no support units were present during the stunt.
Their bodies are yet to be found.
