Spotlight on Al Jazira, Al Wasl

The Arabian Gulf League proceedings enter round 12 with one point separating the top two sides. Al Jazira lead the pack of 14 teams with 26 points from 10 matches and Al Wasl have 25 from 11 matches.
 Defending champions Al Ahli sit third with 21 points from 10 matches. Al Ain, however, could steal the thunder as they have 20 points from just eight matches.
 All the League teams are in action over Friday and Saturday.
 Al Ahli will host Kalba on Friday. The Dubai 'Knights' prevailed over Sharjah in an away match and will face difficult opponents in Kalba, who have beaten Al Shabab at home in last round match.
 Another match will see wooden spoon teams - Emirates and Baniyas - fight it out in Ras Al Khaimah. Both the teams lost their previous round matches. A second win will push Baniyas to 12th spot.
In the late match, Al Wasl will travel to the Al Maktoum Stadium and take on Al Shabab.
 Rodolfo Arruabarrena's 'Cheetahs' are in rampaging form and tore apart Dibba 8-0 in last round encounter. Meanwhile, Saturday gets underway with capital club Al Wahda playing an away match at Fujairah Stadium. The 'Clarets' will be eyeing three points against Dibba and hit 20-point mark. The second match will have Al Dhafra playing Hatta. The Capital team will travel to Hatta following a 3-nil win over Al Shabab.
However, it will be the late matches that are set to provide the maximum entertainment.
 Sharjah FC will travel to the Garden City to face Al Ain. The 'Boss' managed a draw against Al Wahda and Sharjah lost to Al Ahli. Now both will be eager to bag full points. Al Ain remain undefeated at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium so far.
 The table toppers will be in action in the last match of the round at Al Maktoum Stadium. Al Jazira and Al Nasr will hope to continue their winning run.
