Dibba Al Fujairah have raided recently relegated Ajman and pulled off a double swoop to land Ivorian strike duo Boris Kabi and Bakari Kone.
Dibba, who finished last season as Division One champions and three points ahead of runners-up Al Shaab, have moved to reinforce their firepower up front in capturing Kabi, 30, and 33-year-old Kone.
Their signings would appear to be a shrewd bit of business as well considering what happened to the lowest-scoring teams in the Arabian Gulf League (AGL) last season.
Toothless Tigers Ittihad Kalba only managed to find the net 17 times in the 2014/2015 campaign and went down to the second tier as the rock-bottom club as a consequence.
Fujairah managed to stave off the dread drop despite hitting the target on 23 occasions in 26 AGL outings, but the aforementioned Orange Brigade failed to avoid the trap door below in spite of scoring four more than Ivan Hasek's ninth-placed side.
Kabi certainly represents something of a coup for Dibba as he has netted 54 goals in 83 club appearances since returning to Ajman following a short stint at Al Kuwait during the 2011-2012 season.
He'd previously been loaned to Al Dhafra, where he fired in 11 strikes from 18 outings.
Kone was somewhat less prolific during his time with Ajman, mustering just eight goals in 18 run-outs over the course of the past two seasons overall.
However, his link-up play and prior understanding with Kabi could well prove crucial if Dibba are to avoid the fate suffered by their prior employers back in May.
