Kerala Overseas cricketers (KOC) will leave on November 24 to take part in the fourth Friendship Cup, to be played from November 26 at the new Kerala Cricket Association ground - Perinthalmanna.
P.G. Sundar, former Kerala Ranji trophy player will lead the KOC team this year against the Kerala Young Veteran Team (KYV). Both KOC and KYV include the former Kerala state stars.
As a part of keeping its real motto of keeping the camaraderie, players from many parts of the world including UAE, Kuwait, Qatar & Singapore take part in this annual event held in India's southern state of Kerala.
KOC and KYV had jointly formed the ''Friendship cup 20/20'' concept and conducted its first ever tournament held at Cochin in January 2014 with the support of Kerala Cricket Association.
Currently, KOC has 25 former Kerala State Cricketers as its group members, which includes former Ranji trophy as well as Junior State level players.
In order to show the commitment to the development of the game in Kerala, KOC supports the underprivileged cricketers.
Liaqath, Managing Director of Globers & Diyar, supports KOC. "Being a cricket supporter, I am pleased with KOC's cricketing as well as social commitment for the past three years, " said Liaqath.
