The RAK Police is marking the International Happiness Day on Monday by offering a 50 per cent discount on traffic fines for one single day.
According to sources, the move is meant to bring happiness to the public.
"The discount, effective for one day on Monday, March 20, is only applicable to traffic violations caught on radar."
Erring drivers have been urged to take the chance and pay a lower traffic fine.
"The move will drop the speeding traffic fines by half."

Earlier on Sunday, the Umm Al Quwain Police also announced a similar offer for Monday - 50 per cent discount on traffic fines for one single day.
Lt-Col Saeed Obaid bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department of the UAQ Police Directorate General, late on Sunday said the move is meant to bring happiness to the public.
"The discount, effective for one day on Monday, March 20, is only applicable on the due charges for releasing impounded vehicles."
He said eligible drivers would rather take the chance and get their impounded vehicles released against a lower price. "The move will drop the impoundment charges by half."
