Man jailed for groping woman in a lift in Dubai

Dubai - The woman, 40, filed a complaint about that the incident that took place on Christmas Day last year.

A Jordanian accountant was sentenced to 3 months in jail on the charge of sexually harassing a woman in a lift.

The accountant, 25, was accused of groping the woman, an American, while they were alone in the lift of the building where she stayed in Al Rafaa.
The court ruled that he be deported after serving his time in jail.

She said that he took advantage of the fact that they were alone, to grope her all of a sudden. He ran away from the place the moment the lift door opened.

The court's decision may be appealed.
