Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of the RAK civil defence department, said fellow workers, 25 and 30, had been rescued.
RAK Police were alerted about the incident on Tuesday around 10:35am, after which they immediately dispatched an ambulance, paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
"Initial investigations show that the mishap took place at an under construction building in RAK city."
Civil defence teams managed to rescue two workers, who suffered minor injuries, he added. "The third worker, who was badly injured, died on the spot."
The RAK civil defence department has referred the incident file to the bodies concerned for legal action, Brig. Zaabi added.
"The central operations personnel, equipped with the latest devices, are more than ready to professionally and timely handle all emergency cases round the clock," he said.
