The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADCM) held a meeting with the residents of Al Rawdah and Al Karama areas as part of Al Multaqa initiative.
The gathering, which is aimed at identifying people's needs and services facilities, was attended by scores of executive directors, directors and representatives of government agencies, including strategic partners, in addition to the residents.
Engineer Salah Awad Al Sarraj, Acting Executive Director of Town Planning Sector, addressed Al Multaqa gathering, which was held at the Auditorium of Al Afaq School for Basic Education in Abu Dhabi, saying: "The municipality is seeking to open channels of communication with the residents of Abu Dhabi, identify their needs, heed to their suggestions and figure out the best scenario to serve them."
Residents expressed their appreciation for the ADCM's initia-tive in all areas of Abu Dhabi. However, the questionnaire conducted by the ADCM revealed that both areas require more development projects.
Residents proposed a number of suggestions and called for forming a joint committee comprising all government agencies to identify the needs of the two areas.
They also asked for simplifying transaction procedures, particu-larly those related to annexation or split of land plots.
