Three Emiratis of a family died on the spot when their vehicle overturned several times due to over-speeding on the Emirates Road.

The accident took place at 12.30 am near intersection 7 Dubai-bound, leading to the death of 20-year-old driver H.M.M., the mother, 52, identified as S.H.M., and her 14-year-old daughter identified as S.M.M. Two other sisters, aged 6 and 21, were seriously injured and have been admitted in the ICU at Al Qassimi hospital.

The police found the car in a sandy patch and rushed the sisters to the hospital.

Traffic expert told Khaleej Times that the car was over-speeding and then hit the steel barrier in the street which caused it to turn over several times, causing immediate death and serious injuries to the driver and the passengers.
