Photos: Malayalam actor's house submerged in Kerala floods, mother rescued

Volunteers are working to rescue the stranded.

The situation in Kerala continues to be precarious with water levels rising dangerously. 
Rescue operations by volunteers are on to help the stranded and worst affected in the floods. 
Today, actor Prithviraj Sukuran's house submerged in the rainwater and his mother was rescued during the early hours. 
Pictures of his elderly mother being rescued by four volunteers appeared online. Meanwhile, the actor's car, house have drowned in the worst flood Kerala has seen in recent years.

Actor Mohanlal has donated Rs 25 lakhs to Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to tackle the major floods Kerala is facing currently.
Earlier, actors like Kamal Haasan, Suriya and Karthi had announced they will contribute Rs 25 lakh each to the relief fund.
