A lot of interesting events are set to be held across the UAE this weekend. We select some of the best events to make it an exciting week for you. Here are our pick of events to check out this weekend.

Ramadan souk


Seeking some new additions to your wardrobe? Take a look at SoPritti and Ensemble who are in Dubai to present their curation of Indian and Pakistani fashion designers. The subcontinent's fashion elite will be showcasing their seasonal collections at the one-day Ramadan Souk at Godolphin Ballroom, Emirates Towers on Saturday. Some of the top names to look out for are Rimple & Harpreet Narula, Deepak Perwani, Jewels by Queenie, Nomi Ansari and Sania Mastakiya. Entry is free. 

Street Food market

Foodies, here's an exciting place to head to this weekend. Go to the  Street Food Market in Abu Dhabi at Du Forum on Friday and Saturday where there's an exciting food event on. The place will be transformed into a food haven serving mouthwatering options by some of the city's best street vendors. The market features some homegrown food pop-ups and food trucks, all in an urban outdoor setting. Moreover, there will be exciting skill games for adults and kids, hula hooping, mechanical bull ride and more. Du Forum will be filled with vibrant vibes by live band performances, plus sets from local DJs.

Forsaty Expo at Bawabat Al Sharq


Bawabat Al Sharq Mall is hosting the Forsaty Exhibition from Wednesday to Saturday this weekend. The cultural event will showcase products made by over 20 local artisan families.  During the four-day expo, visitors at the Mall will have the opportunity to view and purchase a variety of traditional, home-made Emirati products and artifacts including wearables, cosmetics, Bakhoor and perfumes.

Gujarat day


Four popular Gujarati stand-ups are coming to Dubai to celebrate Gujarati Daya at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium today. Shahbuddin Rathod, Dhirubhai Savaiya, Nirav Mehta and Gunvant Chudasma will have you in splits with their witty lines. Doors open at 7.30pm. Call 04-2691512

IPL Live

TAGFest set to rock Dubai


Popular Filipino radio station Tag 91.1FM is gearing up for the first ever TagFest this weekend featuring some of the top recording in artists in the Philippines.  From the iconic pop rock of Parokyani Edgar, to edgy alternative of Sandwhich, to the heartwrenching melodies of Ebe Dancel and Marion Aunor and the explosive hip-hop beats of Gloc 9, the one-day music festival is expected to gather a huge crowd of Filipino fans to fill Zabeel Hall 4 of the World Trade Center this Friday, May 12.  TAGFest 2017 will open at 3pm and music will run on the main stage throughout the day.
