Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai International Marine Club, honoured 19 winners of the second cycle of the International Business Excellence, or IBX Awards, on Wednesday. The awards were hosted by Awards International in partnership with the Department of Economic Development in Dubai, or DED, Cranfield School of Management and Sharjah Tatweer Forum.
Altogether, there were twenty-six category award winners on the day. The two-day event included over 100 presentations given by the finalists to panels of expert judges. Categories included marketing, financial services, retail, customer experience and sustainability. The awards represent an annual programme aiming to recognise business excellence from across the world. As a means of supporting Dubai Expo and UAE Vision 2021, the IBX Awards will always be held in Dubai.
The winners honoured by Shaikh Mansour and Sami Al Qamzi, director general of DED, included UAE Exchange which won in Financial Services Banking & Investment category; Thrifty Car Rental in Automotive, Travel and Transport; Juma Al Majid-Al Arabia for Elevators and Moving Systems in Real Estate and Construction; Dubai Customs in Government Services; Bristol Fire Engineering in Energy and Manufacturing; Adventure Zone Adventure HQ in Retail; Graham Shapiro Design in Technology and Smart Technology; 4Ever Skin Naturals in SME; Tanfeeth in Strategy, Change and Transformation; Bizz Consulting - GittiGidiyor in E-Commerce and Digital Experience; Emaar Community Management in Client Relationship Management; Dubai Police Electronic Awareness Games in Social Sustainability; Jumeirah Group - Jumeirah Inside Digital Immersive Travel Platform in Marketing, Social Media and Brand; Tanfeeth HR in Employee Engagement; Suhail Bin Tarraf - Tanfeeth as Inspirational Emirati Leader; Issa Baluch Africa Atlantic Franchise Farm as Inspirational Male Leader; Hessa Al Ghurair - Tanfeeth as Inspirational Female Leader; Bee'ah for Sustainability; Africa Atlantic Franchise Farm in Opportunity/Entering Emerging Markets.
Sir Ronnie Flanagan, chief advisor to Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Professor Joe Nellis of Cranfield School of Management, honoured the rest of the winners, which included, Himatrix Middle East Fzco in Professional Services; Adventure HQ in Hospitality, Leisure and Entertainment; NMC Healthcare Brightpoint Royal Women's Hospital in Wellbeing & Health; Dubai Police in Education; Bee'ah in Corporate Social Responsibility; Deutsche Telekom AG One VoC Program across Europe in Customer Experience and Voice of the Customer; Tanfeeth as Employer; Graham Shapiro Design in Overall Sector Specific, and Emaar Community Management for Overall Discipline Specific. - business@khaleejtimes.com
