Dune London, an affordable luxury footwear brand, plans to open 10 new stores in the Middle East in 2016, according to a top company executive.
The London-based footwear company has 32 stores along with concessions in the region. It has a presence in 200 locations in its home market while globally, it has a footprint in 300 locations. The Middle East is the second largest market for the company after the UK.
Dune London has partnered with the Apparel Group in the region. The Apparel Group sells brands from the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia and includes leading names such as Tommy Hilfiger, Aldo, Nine West, Dune London, Skechers, Aeropostale, The Children's Place, Tim Hortons and Charles & Keith to name a few.
"Dune recorded a 20 per cent year-on-year growth in 2015. We are looking at growth potential in the Middle East and plan to open 10 new stores in the region during the year," international brand manager Danni Slater told Khaleej Times.
By the end of 2016, Dune London will have 42 stores in the region, said Slater, who was in Dubai for the launch of Dune's spring and summer collection 2016 in the UAE. She said that Saudi Arabia would get five new stores, the UAE will get two new stores while the rest would be in Doha. "We are also opening a new store in India," she informed.
Talking about the new collection, Slater said it meets the needs of price-conscious customers. "We are bringing a full range for them," she added.
She said the brand's accessories are doing very well in the region. "We offer a large selection of accessories at different price points." he said that e-commerce is a growing segment for the company. "Our e-commerce sites are a big international market for us. We have dedicated sites for France, Germany and the Unites States," she concluded.
