Dubai - The two-year course has been endorsed by the UAE's Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

Students in the emirate with a penchant for aviation jobs will be able to enroll in a training course in September.
The two-year course has been endorsed by the UAE's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority GCAA.
Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute (VCATI), set up in Dubai in 2013 as an independent aircraft maintenance training and examination organisation, is launching the education programme for students in September 2017. The first programme to be delivered to students is an internationally recognised licence for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs).
The two-year courses offer a mix of theory and practical course work with on-the-job training leading to the development of qualified professionals for ready employment.
A-level or Class XII students from any stream are eligible to join the 2-year programme. At the end of it, they will be licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) eligible to work in the aviation industry anywhere in the world at an attractive remuneration. To begin with, VCATI will offer courses leading to licences or certifications for Aircraft Maintenance in 4 categories - A1, A2, B1 and B2.
Mohamed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Founder of VCATI says, "Our training institute has been established to cater to the needs of the aviation industry.
Industry leader Boeing has projected a demand for 269,000 aircraft engineers between 2016 and 2035, based on aircraft deliveries. VCATI has established partners in the industry so students will benefit from on-the-job training and job opportunities.
"High employability in the sector is evidenced by more than 300 vacancies advertised daily and the starting salaries for qualified professionals. Monthly salaries in Asia start from $2,000 after A1 and A2 qualification, while Europe and Middle East salaries after B1 and B2 start at $6,000 per month. We are happy to offer students from the UAE these opportunities and envisage our first batch to come directly from intake within the country although we do have arrangements for overseas students in place."
Since GCAA is compliant with European Aviation Safety Agency (Easa) regulations, job opportunities extend to 135 Easa compliant countries located on every continent across the world.
VCATI's partnership with leading aviation industry companies like Air Arabia and SR Technics the Swiss technical solutions provider for airlines, creates on-the-job training and job opportunities for students as soon as they qualify.
The launch courses in Aircraft Maintenance will be followed by other qualification courses for the industry including flying and development of personnel for services.
This course is selected to be the initial offering in response to industry demand, with aircraft maintenance engineers deemed more in demand than pilots in the future. Boeing Training officials say there are just not enough skilled personnel for aviation maintenance.
