A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck central Australia early on Saturday, according to the US Geological Survey, USGS.
The earthquake was felt at Uluru and surrounding resorts, homes and businesses.
The USGS said the quake was centred 460 kilometres west-southwest of Alice Springs, and was 10 kilometres deep.
