Dubai-based Nasser Zuhour, founder of Zuhour Group, is best known for turning his childhood passion for food and travel into successful business propositions that engage large audiences in the UAE. A restaurateur par excellence, his most recent achievement involves a successful food truck venture, with his fleet of WiZZ street food trucks dispensing flavoursome bites and homemade dishes around the city. When he is not engaged in the day-to-day running of his outlets or making plans to expand to other countries, he prefers to relax and recharge. Here's how.
Eating out
I love trying new restaurants! Food is my passion, and I love to try out new cuisines and concepts. What better place to do that than in Dubai - home to some of the world's best restaurants! As a food connoisseur and culinary entrepreneur myself, when I go into a restaurant, I tend to notice everything - from the interiors and lighting, to the holistic ambience of the place, and, of course, the food.
Spending time with my family
Family is key! They are the support system to my life. There is nothing more important to me. My wife and I have our breakfast together every morning, and that is our alone time, which I consider quite sacred. I also make it a point to meet my parents at least twice a week for dinner in order to spend some quality time with them too. It's a great way to relax and take your mind off work!
Going for mini-vacations
Every few weeks, I take a mini-vacation with the family. I tend to mix both leisure and work together by exploring restaurants all over the world, whenever I can. They give way to new inspirations and opportunities for me to bring new concepts to Dubai. I have visited over 50 countries in the world to date, and hope to travel more each day.
Watching movies
I'm an absolute movie buff. I like to watch a movie once a week, and it really doesn't matter what the genre of the movie is either - I love to watch them all. Talk about a great stress buster.
Walking on the beach
The beach is my place. It's a way for me to get away from everything, switch off from the world around me and notch up some 'me-time'. I find the sound of the water incredibly soothing, and it's always a sure-fire way to relieve me from the stresses and strains of daily life for a while. During this time, I like to reflect on myself, and my life - and, I dare say, I always tend to come away feeling a lot lighter than when I got there. If you haven't tried it, you should!
