Star playmaker Omar Abdulrahman had his first run-out with his new teammates at Al Hilal and the UAE international looks likely to make his bow against Omani club Al Shabab in the Arab Club Champions Cup in Riyadh on Sunday.
The 26-year-old, who joined the record 15-time Saudi Professional League champions on a season-long loan deal worth an astonishing ?15 million, took part in a training session at the King Fahd Stadium, the club's fortress, in the Saudi capital.
And the 2016 Asian Player of the Year could make his debut as early as Sunday in the first leg of the Arab Club Champions Cup against Al Shabab at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh. The second leg takes place at the Al Seeb Stadium in Oman on September 29.
Al Hilal's next assignment will be the Saudi Super Cup, the traditional season-opener on August 18. The Saudi League champions are set to take on King Cup winners Al Ittihad at Loftus Road, London, home to the Queens Park Rangers.
Coach Jorge Jesus was on hand as he put his men through the paces with the club's new president Sami Al Jaber, the former Al Hilal and Saudi Arabia international, and his deputy Ahmed Al Khamis in attendance.
The squad underwent a training session behind closed doors on Saturday ahead of their game against Al Shabab.
Prior to the game, the club will be celebrating Omar's arrival by holding a ceremony at the King Saud University Stadium at 5 p.m Saudi time (6 p.m UAE time). 'Amoory' will deliver balls and the team's jerseys to the fans. Omar, who will don the No.21 jersey at Al Hilal, the same number he wore during his early days with the UAE National team. His jerseys, with his name and No.21 emblazoned on the back, will be available for sale through outlets at the Stadium.
They have already been stocked up at the stadium and is set to sell like hot cakes.
