Traditionally beard tassel necklaces have been used over many centuries for religious or meditative purposes. The number of beads can symbolise say - the number of prayers, and in some particular cultures a specific number of beads can be seen as very important.
Meredith at Turquoise Boutique Studio devised a workshop where you can create your own bead tassel necklace with or without a purpose. Highlighting the blessing of individual intention, and the profound power of self expression.
A colourful array of beads of various materials - crystal, glass, wood, plastic, stone lay delicately within a woven basket to be chosen from. Alongside a silky tassel finish to hold together your creation in your preferred colour.

The hosted event brought together woman from a mix of nationalities yet with the same drive to create something of their own.

Creativity has no boundaries yet a little inspiration never goes a miss. Meredith suggested setting an intention for your necklace onto the final linking bead. All it made me think was when I have a object that means something to me, it's actually because there is a thought linked to it.. Maybe it will stop me loosing my accessories on a regular basis!
