Khaleej Times, UAE's first English daily, in association with world's #1 Intelligent Automation platform, Automation Anywhere, successfully concluded the first edition of Botinar, a series of four digital boardroom webinars, focusing on financial transformation in the region.
The half day strategic digital boardroom meeting took place on 29th June 2020 and witnessed attendance from top finance leaders in government and private organisations including Philips, MAF Retail, Dubai Refreshments, General Electric Company, Saudi German Hospital, ADNOC, Axiom Telecom, Barclays Bank, Shuaa Capital and more.
In the age of building and tapping on community based resources, BOTinar brought together a community of like-minded business leaders and tapped on their vision for transformation in finance within their organizations. It also discussed the inevitable advent of Automation in finance and the barriers to adoption, such as data disconnect, cost efficiency, and loss of control.
Speaking about how automation is leading digital transformation within the finance industry, Milan Sheth, Executive Vice President, IMEA, Automation Anywhere, said "Finance industry is faced with the challenge of handling critical data, any technology implemented needs to be secure enough to ensure compliance. Intelligent Automation provides a stronger governance for the finance industry and offers an improved experience for the customers and employees by automating processes across front and backend."
Finance is being called on more and more by the C-suite to run critical business processes, provide raw data, as well as the sophisticated analysis to make sense of it all. Because of this, finance now has a major role to play in driving the direction of the business. Botinar, an exclusive boardroom series, proved the successful delivery of a much-needed discussion focused on finance thought leaders to share their opinions and promote a closed-door conversation amongst peers for a better technology roadmap for organizations and finance functions.
Automation Anywhere delivered a powerful program on how RPA can drive end-to-end finance process transformation-from closing the books with tighter data governance and process controls, to handling invoicing, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, tax reporting, and cash account reconciliation to save time and focus on strategic initiatives.
