An Indian and a Jordanian national are the lucky winners of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion to win $1 million each in Series 325 and Series 326 respectively which took place at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport.
Vinod Kocheril Kurian, a 49 year old Indian national based in Sharjah became a million dollar richer when his winning ticket number 2052 was drawn in Series 325. A father of two, Kurian bought his ticket when he travelled to Kerala for a holiday.
A resident of Sharjah for 21 years, Kurian is a regular participant of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion for over four yeas now and is the 159th Indian national to have won a million dollars since its inception in 1999.
"I can't believe that I won, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free," Kurian said.
Meanwhile, Nael Kawar, a 64 year old Jordanian national based in Amman won $1 million for his ticket number 4858 in Series 326.
Kawar, owner of a hardware and software company had more chances to win in Series 326 as he bought 3 tickets for this particular series and said: "I am so delighted that my perseverance has paid off. Thank you Dubai Duty Free for coming up with this amazing promotion."
Following the Millennium Millionaire draws, the two winners of a motorbike each were also announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion.
Alfonso Paulo Yap Bruza, a 36 year old Filipino national based in Dubai won a Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Night Pack (Nero Ruvido) with ticket number 0682 in Series 400.
A resident of Dubai for 9 years, Mr. Bruza bought his winning ticket in Terminal 3 Arrivals after his holiday in the Philippines. "Thank you so much for this wonderful win. Long live Dubai Duty Free".
Lastly Abderraouf Samir, a 40 year old Algerian national from Algeria won an Aprilia Shiver 900 (Challenging Red) with ticket number 0360 in Series 401.
Samir, who bought his ticket online, is the first Algerian national to win in the motorbike promotion since its inception in 2002. "Thank you Dubai Duty Free - I am very happy with my win."
The draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Ramesh Cidambi, COO, Mona Al Ali, Senior Vice President - HR, Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President - Retail Support and Sharon Beecham, Vice President - Purchasing.
