BJP walks out of Karnataka Assembly in protest ahead of trust vote

Bengaluru - All 104 MLAs walked out of the assembly.

BJP members on Friday walked out of the Karnataka Assembly ahead of the trust vote moved by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in the House.
"All our 104 MLAs walked out of the Assembly after opposition leader B.S. Yeddyurappa addressed the House to protest against the unholy alliance of the JD-S and Congress," a party leader told IANS.
Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Friday won the confidence motion by a voice vote in the hung assembly moments after the opposition BJP staged a walkout ahead of the floor test.
"The confidence motion has been put to vote and won by voice vote in favour of Kumaraswamy,"
Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar told the legislators present in the lower house.
Earlier, unfazed by the fall of its 3-day government last week in Karnataka, a defiant BJP's state unit protested on Wednesday against the formation of the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S)-Congress coalition government, according to a party official. 
Party's state unit President and its three-time Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had lead the demo at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the city centre at 11:15am ahead of the oath-taking ceremony that evening.
