BMW extend sponsorship towards DP World Tour

Dubai - BMW has been the Official Car of the $8 million tournament since 2010 and is also the Official Car of The European Tour, title sponsor of the BMW PGA Championship, the BMW International Open, the BMW Masters and is a European team partner for The Ryder Cup.

The European Tour's season-ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai will be backed for another three years to 2017 by BMW-AGMC, it was announced through a media communique on Sunday.
BMW has been the Official Car of the $8 million tournament since 2010 and is also the Official Car of The European Tour, title sponsor of the BMW PGA Championship, the BMW International Open, the BMW Masters and is a European team partner for The Ryder Cup.
Courtesy of BMW-AGMC, the longstanding partnership means The European Tour's top 60 golfers will continue to be chauffeured in style in top BMW models to and from the tournament which will take place on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates between Thursday November 19 and Sunday November 22.
In addition to the tournament prize fund and US$5million Race to Dubai Bonus Pool, BMW is also providing the incentive of a stunning BMW i8 for the first player who makes a hole-in-one on the par-three 17th hole during the event.
"As befits its position as the finale of The Race to Dubai, it is our aim to supply the DP World Tour Championship with an official fleet of limousines that truly reflects the tournament's status in the world of golf," said Stathis I Stathis, managing director, Albatha Automotive Group, holding company of BMW-AGMC, BMW Group importer in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.
"These are the top 60 players on The European Tour and we will ensure they are transported in the supreme comfort, safety and style associated with BMW. It is also our pleasure to supply the tournament officials with vehicles from our BMW range and underline the event as a celebration of the season."
