Al Jazira home in on Farfan

Al Jazira are close to signing Peruvian international Jefferson Farfan from German club Schalke, German newspaper Bild reported. The newspaper said that Farfan, who figured in the Copa America in Chile, will be handed a three-year contract worth ?10 million.
Al Jazira did not confirm or deny it with Brazilian coach Abel Braga saying that the club was negotiating with a few players. Club sources, though said, that they are homing in on a deal. The team manager Ayed Mabkhout told Arabic media on Wednesday that they will announce their fourth signing soon.
Meanwhile, ace striker Ali Ahmed Mabkhout looks set to stay at Al Jazira.
Amer staying at Bani Yas
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Bani Yas have rejected four offers for their playmaker Amer Abdulrahman. Arabian Gulf League champions Al Ain, last year's runners-up Al Jazira, Al Ahli as well as Al Nasr were said to be interested in the midfield enforcer. - James Jose
