A young football starlet nearly 'lost his head' on a helicopter flight en route to an awards ceremony in England.
According to media reports in England, Leicester Club's Demarai Gray narrowly escaped, what would have been a horrifying accident, as he walked out of his helicopter flying the star to the PFA Awards.
Photographs from the scene of the incident, that have gone viral on the internet, show Gray nearly walking into the spinning tail rotor of the helicopter after it landed at London's Battersea Heliport.

Looking casual in a tracksuit and cap, the 19-year-old winger looked completely oblivious of the fact that the rotor blades, above him, had not stopped moving as he made his way out - nearby stewards screamed at him to grab his attention and escorted him away from the area before he nearly darted straight towards the rear blades this time.
Gray was flying with this Barclays Premier League season's star turn Riyad Mahrez.

The whole Foxes squad where flown down after their thumping 4-0 win over Swansea that saw them stretch their Barclays Premier League lead to eight points.
With stars Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and N'Golo Kante all nominated, the club wanted to make sure the players made it to Grosvenor House on time after their Sunday afternoon kick-off. The club paid for a fleet of five helicopters to fly the players from their Belvoir Drive base to Battersea Heliport for quick hop to west London for the ceremony, Daily Mail reported.
Mahrez can be seen looking on shocked from the helicopter door as Gray was unable to turn back and had to be directed around the back of the helicopter.

Gray posted a photo of himself on Instagram after the 'close shave' with death:

Mahrez picked up the Player of the Year gong and Vardy collected a commemorative plate for breaking the league's consecutive goal record.
Gray joined the club from Birmingham in January for a £3.75million fee.
This is not the first time a sports player nearly had a 'freak' accident off the field, here are a few cases from recent history where sports players got injured in freak accidents (source: The Mirror):
1. Santiago Canizares
'The bleach blond former Valencia number one might well be one of the unluckiest goalkeepers in Spain's history.
After Andoni Zubizarreta took his spot in the 90s, Canizares won the right to be Spain's first-choice at the 2002 World Cup but dropped an aftershave bottle in the build up, severed the tendon in his toe and was forced to miss out.'
2. Rio Ferdinand
'When playing for Leeds, Rio Ferdinand managed to strain a tendon in his knee playing Pro Evo. Apparently he had his leg resting on the coffee table for too long.'
3. Alan Wright
'Wright made a name for himself at Aston Villa, where the left-back made over 250 appearances.
Despite that lengthy career, there is one story that stands our above anything he achieved on the pitch. Feeling flush, Wright bought himself a Ferrari - but managed to sprain his knee reaching for the accelerator pedal.
He's 5 foot 4.'
4. Bryan Robson
'Ahead of the 1990 World Cup, England captain Bryan Robson was given the unwanted challenge of trying to get Paul Gascoigne (who was fast asleep) out of his bed.
He tried, he failed. After he picked the bed up and tipped Gazza out, he then dropped it on his toe and broke it.'
5. Chic Brodie
Brodie shattered his knee when a pitch invading dog took him out:

6. Darius Vassell
The striker tried to dispose of a blood blister on his toe with a drill!
