The General Department of Security Bodies, Enterprises and Emergency of the Dubai Police has distributed Iftar meals to workers during the holy month of Ramadan for the second year, with the cooperation of the UAE Red Crescent.
On the first day, Brigadier Abdullah Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Security Bodies, Enterprises and Emergency; Misbah Saeed Al Ghafli, Director of Emergency Management; and Lieutenant Rashid Ali from the Directorate-General of Human Rights, led a police team which distributed 200 Iftar meals to workers of a contracting company in Al Quoz.
Brigadier Ghaithi said that the initiative came within the humanitarian and community initiatives that are in line with the Dubai Police's keenness to participate in all community initiatives, and to provide happiness to the workers of Dubai, who constitute a high proportion of population of the emirate.
He said the Dubai Police encourage dialogue as the best solution to solve all the problems being face by the workers, stressing the effectiveness of these initiatives in building bridges of cooperation and solving dilemmas.
He explained that the initiative aims to distribute 200 Iftar meals to workers on a daily basis for five days.
