An Arab youth stood trial at a Sharjah court, accused of stealing from the safe of the fast food restaurant, where he worked. He allegedly stole money from drawers during breaks. His theft was discovered by the manager, who noticed the defendant's presence at the restaurant during his non-working hours. After checking the surveillance camera, he was found stealing from the safe. The youth was arrested from his apartment and the police found the keys of the safe with him.
The accused denied having stolen money from the safe. He claimed that he was not aware the keys found in his possession could open the safe of the shop. He said that if he committed the theft, he would have got rid of the keys after stealing the money. The presiding judge adjourned the case to January 7 and released the youth after he deposited his passport.
