The complaint against the Indian jobless man was filed on December 14, 2016, at Al Qusais police station.
"I was at work around 5:20 pm when I showed an Indian man offers for prizes and competitions. I told him to go to the cashier."
"I was standing near the door when I suddenly felt his hand stretching out to my body. As I removed his hand and yelled at him he asked me how much money I wanted. I reported him to the supervisor who called the police," the Filipina woman said.
She added no one witnessed what had happened. But they provided the police with a copy of the surveillance camera footage.
The defendant was indeed caught on camera entering the shop at 17:37. The employee approached him and then she took his hand off her intimate part and started to scream. She then went to the supervisor's office in the shop. The latter called after the customer shortly later.
The complainant told the police the accused was standing less than one metre away from her and he touched her on purpose. She said she had no idea what he meant by what he asked her.
She identified him later among other suspects at the police station.
The next hearing is scheduled for March 27.
