UAE residents can expect at least one more day of cloudy weather and cool temperatures, after light and scattered rains were reported across the country on Wednesday.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), temperatures fell across the country on Wednesday, with a maximum of between 19° and 22°C and a minimum of 14° to 17°C in coastal areas.
In Internal areas, temperatures ranged between a maximum of 21° to 24°C and a minimum of 8° to 13°C. Mountain areas were considerably cooler, with a maximum of between 10° and 14°C and a minimum of 7° to 10°C. The waters of the Arabian Gulf were reported as being "rough" to "very rough", while the waves were "rough" in the Oman Sea.
According to the NCMS, on Thursday residents can expect partly cloudy weather in general, with light to moderate winds that may cause rising dust in some exposed areas. The Arabian Sea will be rough by day, but will become moderate by nightfall.
Humidity is also expected to increase during the night and early morning over internal areas of the country, with a strong probability of fog and mist. On Friday, the NCMS predicted that the weather will be fair, but partly cloudy at times.
Light to moderate winds is expected, and increased humidity will mean a chance of fog and mist over internal areas. Many local residents took to social media on Wednesday to remark that they were pleased with the day's rain.
"Rain in Dubai always feels so comforting," tweeted a resident.
