Only after eight months of his father's martyrdom in Marib of Yemen, baby Fahd Abdullah Omar Mubarak Al Jabiri has been born in the Ras Al Khaimah Hospital on Sunday at 2 am.
As such, Fahad is the last born baby of the 52 Emirati soldiers martyred in a Houthi missile attack on the province of Marib in Yemen on September 4th last year.
31-year-old fighter Abdullah Omar Mubarak Al Jabiri was part of the UAE armed forces participating in the 'Operation Restoring Hope' in Yemen under the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces.
The martyr, based at Al Maamura area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, had earlier asked his elder brother Saleh to take care of his four girls Mariam, Aziza, Mira and Asma and bring them well when heading to the war.
"He has also asked me to support them in their marriage in the future, and he was the one who chose the name of his just born son 'Fahd' when he was still an embryo; the name which his wife and all family members stick to," he said.
Hamad Salem Al Hashemi, uncle of the new baby boy, said though all family members, relatives and neighbours are happy about the new baby, they deeply feel sorry about the sad demise of his father.
"The martyr has always been dreaming of having a baby boy after having four daughters over the last four years. The dream has come true, but the dreamer is missing," he said in grief and tears.
Pledging, Al Hashemi said they would follow the same shiny track of sacrifice, dedication and loyalty to the nation. "Most of Al Jabiri's martyrs are recruited in the UAE armed forces and police. "We shall ever defend the development achievements of our country and stability of the region in pursuance of the directives of our prudent leadership."
The last few months saw the birth of some baby boys and girls of the UAE soldiers martyred in Yemen, mainly those killed in the province of Marib on September 04, 2015.
"A mix of joy and sorrow is the feeling of all family members who are proud of their son's martyrdom and happy about the new baby," he underlined. "Though Fahd is born as an orphan, he is being taken care of everybody around."
Al Hashemi, who is the brother of the martyr's wife, said Fahd's birth was normal. "The baby boy is in good health and condition."
Recalling the martyr's death, Abdullah Somar, brother-in-law of the martyr, said he had posed 'Victory or martyrdom' as his title on his accounts on social media whereas his will to his mother was to "never feel sorry for his demise defending his nation."
Mother of the martyr said the martyr was a divine gift to her which he collected back. "I am not only accepting my fate, but feel proud of her son who was martyred while defending right and justice."
The patient mother added that she would implement the martyr's advice and look after his daughters. "Though they have lost one father, they have been given thousands others who are the rulers and people of the UAE."
Somar said all family members, including the martyr's 20 brothers and sisters, are all proud of his martyrdom. "He has given us all this high divine rank which he always considered as his mission in his entire career with the UAE armed forces."
Al Jabiri, born in 1984, was a decent and religious young man, he added. "He was known for his kindness, compassion, and cooperation with relatives, friends, neighbours, and whoever in need for help."
Mohammed Al Jabiri, nephew of the martyr, said he was so sorry for losing his uncle whom he loved so much. "Our hearts are broken, our eyes are full of tears, but we shall totally surrender to the will of Almighty Allah to whom we belong, and is our return."
Jaafar Omar, brother of Al Jabiri, said the martyr has always been dreaming of serving his country and showing dedication to his prudent leadership. "He joined the UAE armed forces 17 years back."
He set an exceptional example in sacrifice and commitment, he added. "He was part of the country troops in Bahrain, Afghanistan, and finally Yemen where he was martyred, and that is an honour to us all."
Saleh Omar, brother of Al Jabiri, said the martyr has asked him to take care of his four daughters, and bring them well to show love to the nation if he got martyred during the 'Operation Hope Resorting' in Yemen. "I told him he would return home safe and victorious, and will be happy about their marriage."
Instead he came back as a martyr, and that has much comforted us after being shocked with his sad demise, he added. "I am ready to fly to Yemen and be part of the operations there to defend, right, justice, and legitimacy."
