The Dubai Police have rescued two men stranded in a desert area.
Ahmed Atiq Bourguiba, Deputy-Director of Search and Rescue Operations at Dubai Police, said the ground rescue team rescued two Chinese nationals after their car got stuck in sand in a desert area. He added that the men are in good health. Bourguiba said the command and control room of the Dubai Police was informed that a car was stuck in sand near the Hatta-Oman road behind the Dubai Sports Club. The rescue team immediately determined the whereabouts of the car through satellites.
The official urged people who go into the desert to carry enough food and water. He also called on people to take advantage of the "SOS" service from Dubai Police.
