Shocking details have emerged two days after a girl and a boy died in a flat fire in Dubai.
According to police sources, both of them were just 14 years old and students.
The Indian girl and Pakistani boy died after a fire gutted a bedroom of the girl's apartment on the second floor of a residential building in Al Hamriyah.
The fire was reported at 3.50pm on Sunday.
Sources said the police believe that the girl rejected the boy's love proposal.

On Sunday, the boy is believed to have gone to the girl's flat when her mother was away at work. He reportedly knocked on the door, which she opened.
What exactly transpired after that is not clear, but it is believed that the teenagers had an argument. The boy then reportedly stabbed the girl to death.
Judging from the position of their bodies, it is believed that the boy lay next to the girl, doused kerosene on both of them and set fire. A can of liquid fuel was found in the room.
The case has been transferred to the public prosecution for further investigation.
The autopsy result and forensic reports are awaited.
The bodies will be handed over to the families after legal formalities are completed.
