The Dubai Executive Council has reviewed the final report of the innovation labs for Dubai Plan 2021. The labs saw 105 innovative suggestions from experts, government officials and representatives from the private sector and civil society to realise the UAE leadership's vision to make the country the world's happiest.
Launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the innovation labs are interactive platforms through which the latest developments of the Dubai Plan 2021 are reviewed.
The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai reviewed the report in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council; and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and General Secretary of the executive council.
"We are keen on activating the role of innovation labs and encourage the participation of ... the private sector in the development of the overall work system in the emirate, and strengthen competition in the UAE," said Shaikh Hamdan.
Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the executive council, said the innovation labs this year were rich in creative ideas that reflect the vision and directives of Shaikh Mohammed.
Aisha Miran, assistant secretary-general for strategic management and governance, said the innovation labs report has been circulated to heads of government departments. Meetings will be held with stakeholders to discuss the operational and executive plans for implementation of the recommendations.
