Marriages between Muslims and Hindus are known to create controversies from time to time, but the marriage of this Dubai couple was celebrated on social media recently for its uniqueness.

Junaid Shaikh, a Muslim, and Garima Joshi, a Hindu, both based in Dubai, were collegemates at Symbiosis, Pune, India. Shaikh was Joshi's senior at college and they both met years later in Dubai and fell in love.
Both their families opposed their relationship earlier, but eventually gave approval for their marriage.
The couple decided to have a different wedding, bereft of the traditional nikahs and pheras, and instead decided to dance the night away.
The social media also became a part of their marriage with #ShaikhItWithJosh.

Shutterdown Photography documented their journey in a video, which has more than 37,000 views since it was posted on Facebook on April 17.
